Jev Model API finds hardcoded subtitle text burned into video frames, rebuilds the covered pixels, and keeps the original audio untouched.
Why we built it
Burned-in subtitles sit inside the video image itself, so there is no switch to flip. We wanted a faster path than opening a timeline editor, so we built a browser-based upload-and-preview flow for short clips.
What we focus on
Accurate subtitle region detection, clean inpainting of the text zone, honest quality expectations, and preserving the original soundtrack in the output file.
Our approach
Upload a video, let the model find and repair the burned-in subtitle area, preview the result, then download. Results depend on how much motion and visual detail sits behind the text — we make that easy to check before committing.
Best results
The repair looks smoothest when subtitles stay in one place over a plain background. Fast cuts, busy textures, or subtitles that move across the screen will show more artifacts.
